Places to play in Sydney and Melboune?

I'm a Canadian who will be visiting Sydney and Melbourne for a couple of weeks in March. I'm having problems getting a list of (easily accessible from the CBD) places to play in the two cities. Some club web pages are not up to date, and I don't know if they exist, or have changed location and/or hours.

I am aware of the Melbourne CC, from previous visits to Oz.

Can anyone give me (up to date) location and hours info for the following (or if they are even worth going out of my way to attend):

North Sydney CC
Ryde Eastwood CC
Sydney University CC
University of NSW CC

Box Hill CC
Elwood CC
Melbourne University CC

Also - are there any less formal places that are well attended by chessplayers - espicially blitz players (bars, cafes, parks, etc.)?

In Sydney, come to Hyde Park. Sometimes, when we feel like it, we go off to a pub. We also play at the Spanish Club. If you have a clock and set, even better. If the clock is digital - better still as even at the park we mostly play with digitals these days.

No reason given. We always reckon that it was the cafe owner whose shop was closest to our tables. He never liked us. He reckoned we scared customers away. But we only went there after 5PM and after 3PM on weekends. This really upset us because we'd gotten use to the excellent tournament conditions inside. But me being me, I'm gonna test them b.a-s*tar*ds and see what happens.
