The current situation is that HCC membership is the same irrespective of whether someone has already paid TCA membership but we will check this with the HCC Treasurer as to whether any discount is possible. Blackburn - Bonham. A good example of how while the French Exchange has a reputation for being drawish, it's actually very easy to go wrong in it.

Game between me and Garry. Very tumbly and I think Garry deserved to win this one in the end I played too fast until i was completely losing. Could not find the energy to find the win near the end though I knew I was winning so traded off the bishop. Need to work on that.

Blundered endgames
Thanks for posting Zach, it was an interesting game with a few moments we both could improve on for sure.
My main mistake in the endgame was clearly 39. c5. King d6 was the logical move, I should have taken an extra minute there. That threw me off completely, leading to the second blundered pawn. That said, it still would have been a tricky win. As you note, your endgame mistake was swapping the bishop for the knight when you were ahead. So in all fairness, a draw was the right outcome once we had both blundered the lead during the endgame!
