Revolution. St.George, lead the way with a ticket at the the AGM. You have nothing to lose but more bills from the NSWCA.

I don't hear people wanting to be on council, I just hear complaining some justified some not. NSWCA had a club delegates meeting in February this year, only four clubs attended besides those on council.Originally Posted by Matthew Sweeney
You weren't able or prepared to go to council meetings, when on council. What make you think others will be any different?
I think in wake of the grades matches saga, a new club delegates meeting be put on the calendar soon to try to settle any issues clubs have.
A representative from every club with a person who is not on the council, club delegates should be either those who played grades or are on a club committee.
There is no reduction of prize money at will. The adverts make it clear that the prize funds are based on a specific number of entries. Less entries, less prize money. This has been the case for many years. Members in the past had expressed the view that they were against the Council running events at a loss.Originally Posted by Matthew Sweeney
However your criticism of the NSWCA reeks of hypocrisy.
You advertised the Common Man 2005 asyet you only paid prizes for 2 divisions and a junior division.Originally Posted by Matthew Sweeney
The May weekender held at Rose Bay attracted a total of 34 entries.
The total number of entries for the July weekender appear to be similar.
Virtually all of the conditions for the May and July weekenders were identical to the NSWCA's very successful Australia Day weekender that attracted 77 players.
Both events had identical entry fees, prize structures, round times, time controls and both were held on normal 2 day weekends.
The only difference was that the Australia Day Weekender was held at North Sydney Leagues Club where as the May Weekender and the July weekender were being held at Rose Bay RSL.
The Councils view is that Rose Bay is just not as attractive a venue to players as is North Sydney or Ryde Eastwood.
As such the May and July weekenders will next year be held some place other than Rose bay, most likely at North Sydney.

As for next years May and July/August weekender. I think that at least a tournament should be held south of the parramatta river. Maybe somewhere like a Wests Leagues or somwhere in the inner western suburbs....?
