Correspondence section ratings? (was CC ladder?)

Now that the first CC tournament is nearly complete, I'd like to know if anyone is interested in starting a ladder.

    Rough framework:
-Initial positions will be finishing positions from the CC tournament at the top (those who wish to participate), followed by players in random order.
-Players may challenge any player ranked above (or below).
-Players play one game, colour determined at random (more games may be played by agreement).
-If the lower player wins, the players exchange places. If (s)he loses or ties, there is no change.
-A player who is not currently engaged in a match with a lower ranked player must accept any challenge from a player ranked three places below or fewer.
-Computer assistance is not permitted (taken on trust).

agreed, but for this idea, the challenge could be two games, one white, one black and to get the higher position, the lower ranked player must win the match to take the higher position on the ladder.

Maybe, although I want to require players to accept a challenge from a lower player even if they are already playing a higher. 4 games at a time is a bit more than I had in mind (I know you crazy tourney ppl were playing 12).

If no-one is starting a ladder, maybe I should be the one who starts one.

Hi Glenno. If you could add me to the list of people interested in correspondence games that would be great. Thanks.

lol! Not only did I not know that this ladder existed until a few days ago, I still don't know where to find it! (I had to go back to a thread where Glenno had quoted it). Could this thread be made a sticky if it is not so already?

In any case, Fletch has challenged me to a game, and we are off... so could we please hold back on Fitzroying me until both of us have had a chance to get into the game?

    Cheers,

    EE!
