You can hope but I don't like your chances. We've had a number of nights in the region of -5 in the last week or so and the maximum last weekend was forecast as 7 - not sure if it made it but considering the wind chill factor that was academic. Today the sun has still to be sighted, which is a little unusual, Canberra winters are cold but often sunny after the fog clears.

starter will be off the air until Wednesday 28/7 pm.
No post count bets to be sent to my PM in the interim.
(Suggest betting on the farnarkelling scores this week-end instead).

    hey Amiel,

I have been in Sydney for a few days, and I must have picked the 2 days that all car owners celebrated their ownership by driving around on the public roads. Bet you are glad that the traffic is not like that all the time.

Woke up on Tuesday morning to a Sydney overcast sky. Looked rather sinister to me, Amiel, but an hour later the sun had burnt off the effect. Sure is nice to have a sunny (winters) day in Sydney; beats Melbourne's cold temperature hands down.

Mate, what are you bloody talkin' about? Mate all this sinister Sydney sky (oohhh....alliteration) but which doesn't rain is caused by Mexican and South Australian pollution. It's all your fault you lot down there.

As for cars - well, you can thank our state government for completely stuffing up our rail system - the c . . . .

Yes gg'', I agree it is just as you decribed. Every day. Unremitting. Without change. Always constant. Predictable. Pleasant but not challenging. With certainty.

But do I want that? That is another question.

Not completely constant but certainly it's the climate I'd choose to live in... I saw the other day where Kevin lives had a max of 4... eep.

It's cold here but it's not quite that bad. Might have been a misprint, I just checked BOM here and Hobart's worst maximum for July has been 8.2

... but a real scorcher for ya today BD. Hobart sweltered in a balmy maximum of 5.8 degrees, the lowest recorded for seven years.

Luckily I am working on a contract from home at present so I didn't see any reason to go out and experience it for myself.

I dunno why I took this course - I am so hopeless at it. I don't even get this Chebelshev theorem or some such.

    Wish me luck fellas.

I've seen some varied spellings of Chebyshev but not one that I remember with an L.

Is this a form of the Prime Number theorem: pi(x) is of order x/ln(x)?
