Mentone Club Championship 2022.
When: Thursdays, 5th of May —16th of June.
Game Start Time: 7:15 p.m.
Where: Mentone Activity Hub, 29 Venice St, Mentone VIC 3194. https://goo.gl/maps/15iQCP5C2RcPQLQ56
Format: 7 round Swiss. Time control: 60 minutes per game, plus 30 seconds per move. Forfeit time is 30 minutes after game begins.
Entry fee: $25. To play in this tournament one must be a member of Mentone Chess Club. Yearly membership $100 / $60 concession pro rata (at this time of year approximately 30% less).
Prizes:
1st prize $150 guaranteed
2nd prize $100 *
3rd prize $75 *
* Subject to entry numbers.
Byes: Players may take two half point buyers in rounds 1-5. Please inform Leon by Mondays midnight to get the half point, as pairings will be released Tuesday mornings.
Rating: the event will be ACF rated.
Closest train station is Mentone on the Frankston line. Nearby buses include 708, 811, 8:12, 825, 903. 825, 903.
