On a technicality we have over 50 Australian participants who are currently our representatives for the zonal and thats only decided because they met the rating floor of 1000 and are available to play a 9 round Swiss tournament somewhere in Melbourne.
What Narelle is asking is different. A selected player nominated by each Federation in each Zonal is its official representative and is entitled to free board and lodging for the tournament. The rest are representatives in a sense for certain FIDE rules but do not have the same entitlements.

It is excellent to see Australia's two strongest active women will be fighting for the win in the zonal.

    Note re email response times

Some players have been sending me multiple emails about transferring Federations before I have had time to respond to the first one. This is rude and inappropriate. I am a volunteer who is busy with many other things (including, currently, several transfer-related inquiries) and to send me a follow-up within one day is unreasonably impatient.

If players want an immediate acknowledgement of their email they should use a request read receipt function if their email has one.

    hi all!

Is anyone still looking for Accomodation?

Myself and two friends have secured a four bedroom house through Airbnb and we have a spare room.

The House is in Doncaster East about a half hour walk to the venue..

The cost is $485 for the period of Saturday the 21st of January through to Sunday 29th of January.

Applicants will be vetted by my mates! lol.

If interested let me know. Send me an email: trentraymondparker@gmail.com or contact me on facebook.

    Kind Regards

    Trent.
