Gibraltar: Battle of the Sexes 2022

This appears to be an original format tournament, with our own GM Bobby Cheng taking part. You-tube favourite and occasional Australian visitor, IM Eric Rosen and also Irene Sukandar are competing!

Bobby drew with Stefanova as black, a reasonable result against a legend of women's chess.

Eric Rosen might struggle, he is outrated by most of the women who are probably just better players than him. The Stafford Gambit will not help him here.

I did not realise it for a while but Bobby is the highest rated player in the event. Maria Muzychuk is second highest.

Bobby drew with white against Olga Girya which is not great for his rating.

The womens team is smashing the mens team, Irene Sukandar is doing extremely well to be on 2/2.

Bobby is black against Mariya Muzychuk.

Excellent work Bobby. Hopefully he can pick up a couple more wins in the rest of the tournament.

Zionism is racism as defined by the UN, Israel by every dirty means available steals land and water, kill Palestinian freedom fighters and civilians, and operates an apartheid system to drive more Palestinians off their land

Man appear to have gained a very solid lead (after disasterous first 2 rounds). Bobby has been solid - no losses but only +1.
