Indeed no online lol. Was so looking forward to the Melbourne one, would have been a tournament for the ages imo.

In any case, hybrid formats have been used for various high-level events, but are much too resource-intensive to be feasible for the wider populace rated below 2300.
In the 2021 Oceania Zonal we had 8 players and around 20 arbiters.

Awesome idea! Call it the Oceania Arbiters' Invitational Zonal, and open it to titled arbiters registered in Zone 3.6. Just off the top of my head, there are 3 IMs, a few FMs, and a few women's titled players registered under Australia who would qualify (there may be more, but the FIDE ratings page seems to be down just at the moment).
Who will arbit the arbiters?
