Thanks Frank, mind you after beating GM Kyrill Georgiev in R1 he then drew vs super GM Fabiano Caruana no. 2 in the world!

Terrific win by Temur. Seems to have outplayed his opponent between about moves 20 and 30 without opponent making any one obvious mistake.

I do not like 11...g5. It may be ok according to computer analysis but creates too many ''holes'' in black's position that are not so enjoyable for a human player to deal with.

Nihal Sarin has taken more than 36 minutes for his 11th move as Black in the opening, must be distressing to his coaches to see.

And ended up playing the only move that has been seen at this level before, from a game Bologan-Tkachiev 2010.

14.Bd1 is the first new move of the game after two hours; Bologan played 14.Bxc6

Kuybokarov - Sarin. Looks like 24.Rc3 is a blunder at this level.

Temur is playing like a 2640 player, having a good tournament so far.

Temur equalised comfortably playing the QGA and may have had more at one stage.
