    I think you mean 1.Qe4 but it still doesn't work:

    1. Qe4 e1=R
    2. d6+ Rxe4

    Also it is good practice on this board when posting solutions to use color tags:

    {color=white} to open
    {/color} to close

    but with [] instead of {}

    so that others who are thinking about the answer do not see it unless they want to. Example:

    Text in white here.

    White goes: 1. Ka4, 2.Qb3, 3.Qb7 mate, I don't see any defence.
    So what's your excuse? To run like the devil's chasing you.

    See you in another life, brotha.

    ah nice, thanks KB. So 1.Kc3 runs into R moves and then 2. ... d1=Q. And 1.Ka3 runs into for example 1. ... e1=Q and 2. ...Qe3
    So what's your excuse? To run like the devil's chasing you.

    See you in another life, brotha.

    Ah so wherever the rook moves after 1.Ka4, you advance the pawn on that file. Eg. 1.Ka4 Rg1 2. g7 and wins

    Thanks Kevin, I didn't know Is it the quote function that would allow the answer to be viewed?

    Highlighting the white text by dragging the cursor is the main way to see it (left click on mouse and hold down).

    Thanks Now where's the thumbs up emoji in the emoji list (as opposed to the icon list)?
