    Date check?

NSW Queen's Birthday is 14th June 2021, so wouldn't this event be Saturday 12th June, Sunday 13th June and Monday 14th June?

    Positions filling quickly

The Venue can only accept 140 Entries.
The event has been advertised for less than a week and we already have 20% capacity taken.

If you are a titled player and seriously considering entering please email tournaments@ncwca.org.au to express your interest and reserve your spot.

To all others don't leave it too late - once the 140 limit has been reached entries will close.

I look forward to greeting you all in June after missing the last year.

Wow quite a few people I haven't seen for a long time (well at least for the last three years + to be exact)
Will be great to see again Mr. Greenwood, Bill, Bob, Garry and Ryan (hehe he won't get me this time we're playing in different divisions) Lane,
Lani Chibnall, Ron Brockman, Shane Dibley and last but not least Matthew Sweeney (saw him last at Doeberl but I can't remember the year)
However Matt's entered this tournament with the highest ever recorded rating of any player here, there, everywhere
Have a look at the list

good on ya mate see ya in Sydney!

Now, in the not so unlikely event of Covid-19 related NSW - Victoria border closing (or implementation / enforcement of two week quarantine upon arrival to NSW)

    • I would like to donate my entry fee to the NSWCA in whatever use you guys see fit.
    • I would also like to donate the amount of money I would have spent for the duration (*) of the tournament in various Strathfield eateries and other expenses

to the NSWCA in whatever use you guys see fit.
(From memory it was about $120.00 but I will check it out)

In case of everything goes well and I will participate in the tournament as it was originally planned I will still make a donation
the amount of which I can't yet specify but it will be approximately equivalent to the sum of the above pledges.
Suffice to say that as in previous pledges use of donation is up to NSWCA!

Checked position early this morning. If situation re condition of crossing the border and entering NSW remains the same (only filling a declaration form is required)
looks like there will be no problem.
    • 11 days to enter NSW, 12 days to the Open start left!
    • Amount of pledged donation will be rounded to $200.00

    Doesn't look good.

Latest I got from NSW Govt Covid-19 related info is that entering NSW from Victoria only requires signing of a declaration form; so far so good.

However, entering the State I might have to isolate under similar extended lockdown conditions as the ones implemented here in Melbourne.

Well, the Russian is so close to my accommodation I could easily shout the moves from my hotel's window but hey!

I will let you know about the final position when I have all the specific information needed!

That will be in ample time so you guys
    • won't put me in the draw
    • will have someone (now on standby) to take my place

    Donation pledge stays as is.
I can actually do that now to get it out of the way as soon as you let me know which b/ac to send the $200 to.

    cheers!

That does it! I had enough. Please let a person from your standby entries list replace me.

    Sorry you can't make it.
Thanks for your $200 donation and I can confirm it is in our bank account.

Any idea why such a small venue has been chosen for this important event to be exhausted nearly 3 weeks before start? So many people will miss this out for sure.
