The 2007 record field of 32 players is under serious threat with 30 now entered. Also for the first time since 2009 the current conditions for awarding the Tasmanian Womens Champion title will be met.

Seeding estimates in brackets for unrated players.

(For players with ACF Quick ratings but no ACF Classic rating the seed rating is their Quick rating minus 245 points which is the current median difference for Tasmanian active players. Ditto for players for whom an ACF Quick TPR can be estimated.)
    * Seed rating may be applied if information or further information about playing strength becomes available.

We are underway with the 31 listed above. Two games still going in a first round with a lot of upsets so far.

Juniors causing upsets, always good to see them improving unless you happen to be the victim.

Board 5 round 1 wasn't exactly an upset, our ACF Quick ratings are only 18pts apart (2078-2060) and his FIDE rating is ~3yrs old.
