2020 Asian Online Nations Cup (Oct 10-25)

Will Australia be submitting a team for this tournament?

I found the regulations attached via. this link. They state that each federation must confirm its entry by 25 September 2020, with submission of team lists due by 4 October 2020.

I'm willing to represent Australia in this event if there are enough players for a team.

If no top players are available, happy to nominate myself as reserve for reserve!

I appreciate the support Michael! I think if Australia nominates a team, we'll be able to find the 10 players (5 for the Men's team, 5 for the Women's) in the timeframe - the ACF did a fantastic job of putting together a strong team for the FIDE Online Olympiad at extremely short notice.

Has there been any word on whether Australia will lodge a nomination on the 25th? It's very annoying that the Asian Chess Federation has yet again provided so little notice about an upcoming event, but important that players have opportunities to compete since overseas travel looks to be out until mid-2021.

Good news I suppose. Michael, I am sorry, your services are unlikely to be needed. Well, same as mine.

Michael, if you are still keen you may want to give a call to Leonid. I believe Australia may need a reserve.

    See Kevin's links above.

Do we know why China is missing - is there a story or just not interested? Presumably they have enough players.
