MCC trial online Allegro on Tornelo.com [Sat 28 March] (Free entry, 30 players Max)

    All,

As part of the initiative to keep chess going in the current circumstances, MCC will be temporarily moving its Saturday Allegro online on to Tornelo.com.

Tomorrow will be a free trial to test the running of the Allegro online. Entry for this initial event is restricted to 30 players.

Here is a message from MCC President Simon Dale which was posted on MCC's facebook page about this trial:

MCC is trialing an online Allegro on Saturday 28th March, maximum 30 players. In order to preseve the community feel it will be run with an Arbiter, Zoom video meeting and with Tornelo with a new online playing capability. This is a free trial while we work out how we want to run this. Details of how to join are on the Allegro page on the website:

    Plans for future trial Allegros

Today's trial Allegro was, IMO, a success and will provide invaluable feedback to MCC and the Tornelo organisers.

I expect that possibly for the next few weeks, free trial Allegros will continue in lieu of the normal MCC Saturday Allegros.

Keep your eyes out for further announcements about these future free trial Allegros.
