I believe he has also done a much better job of protecting people from the Delta variant than NSW has. But do you have any actual evidence that Melbourne has had the longest period in lockdown, and that there have been more frequent anti-lockdown protests in other cities?

And that's not the only thing he's winning on: "56% of NSW respondents thought the lockdown restrictions in their area were about right, 28% too strong and 16% too weak. In Victoria, these figures were 57% about right, 35% too strong and 8% too weak."

    8% too weak .
I think I mentioned this before: sheep love their sheperds...and even sheperd dogs .

It looks like Victoria will soon overtake NSW as the state with the most daily cases

I have no idea whether curfew specifically is saving lives but I am certain the restrictions as a whole are saving lives by keeping case numbers lower than the would be otherwise. The curfew is aimed at limiting movement and interaction which is how the virus spreads.

The Victorian death toll has definitely been lower than the one in NSW. But the violent anti-lockdown protestors in Victoria haven't helped.

consider the life in NSW and Victoria all along. I wonder why these people were protesting btw...may be they were not happy. Wait....do not they have a right to protest as their lives also matter? . Or may be protests should be allowed selectively based on a cause?
Btw, in response to protests, the public transport system was ''disabled'' by the state government on the day of the biggest expected one...it caused problems not for protesters alone.

Anyway, on the positive side - we can always follow the development and learn ''life lessons'' and review our personal goals. I am getting snapshots of all layers of society (state government, protesters etc.) .

I'm glad you support the right of people to protest. So do I. But they don't have a right to violently protest and ignore health directions in a pandemic.

Can you give me an example? I can't find any case where I've supported violent and maskless 'leftist' protestors. In fact:

But note that the Sydney BLM protestors dispersed quietly, unlike the Melbourne 'freedom' protestors who provoked confrontation with police

Six protesters arrested at Sydney Black Lives Matter march

What we know so far about the Melbourne protests
