We had our first club night for the year on Monday 6 January and played an unrated Allegro 15 minutes tournament. I again unsuccessfully tried the arbiter / player double.
Apologies in advance for the poor formatting here - whenever we run a tournament in Vega rather than Swiss Perfect the outputs give me a challenge to present them intelligibly in Chess Chat.

Note that Autumn Swiss is both FIDE and ACF rated. We are using the FIDE approved Baku system for accelerated draw. Currently there are 53 entries which is great to see.

Please ensure it is on silent, and then turn off your Phone.

Place it face up on the table near your board for the entire game.

Do not take your Mobile Phone out of the chess room whilst your game is in progress, If you leave the chess room during your game, you may hand your mobile phone to the arbiter or leave it by your board.

If you have a Smart Watch, either do not wear it to Chess or give it to the Arbiter to hold for the duration of the game.

NB: Moves must be recorded, If you wish to offer a draw or adjust the pieces, it must be done when it is your turn to move.

A touched pieced must be moved or captured unless illegal, the hand that touches the piece must be the same hand that stops the clock. 2 illegal moves lose, so be careful that you are not in check before you move. First illegal move gives your opponent 2 extra minutes.

There is a spare queen of both colours at every board. If you have a problem raise your hand to get the arbiter to come to your board. If you stop the clock the arbiter shall determine whether you had any valid reason for doing so, if he decides you have no valid reason for stopping the clock, you could be penalised.

No analysis at the board - players and spectators may be penalised if they do so.

    The recording of the moves:

In the course of play each player is required to record his own moves and those of his opponent in the correct manner, move after move, as clearly and legibly as possible, in algebraic notation, on the ‘scoresheet’ provided for the competition.

With a Time control of 90 minutes plus 30 seconds per move there is plenty of time for most players. You cannot stop recording the moves, even in the last 5 minutes, as the arbiter can impose a penalty: a warning, increasing the remaining time of the opponent, or reducing the remaining time of the offending player.

A player may reply to his opponent’s move before recording it, if he so wishes.

But he must record his previous move before making another.

If your opponent is not recording the moves, you may stop the clock and advise the Arbiter.

The offending player must update their scoresheet, using the opponent’s scoresheet, on the offending player's time.

The Arbiter may warn the offending player, that if they continue to not record the moves, they will be penalised 2 minutes. A third occurrence could result in the loss of the game.
