    Parr Bequest

There is a reference in NSWCA financial report to a bequest from the late Peter Parr.
    Perhaps a substantial sum.
Parr ran a profitable business for many decades and I believe he came into a substantial
inheritance as well when his father died.
Parr had for many years campaigned for owned premises for the organization, perhaps
    he had this in mind.
He often mentioned that he was working towards such a chess centre himself.
Sadly he passed away before his dream could be achieved.
Anyone know the details of the bequest?

Surely it must be in the minutes and treasury details of the Association?
Zionism is racism as defined by the UN, Israel by every dirty means available steals land and water, kill Palestinian freedom fighters and civilians, and operates an apartheid system to drive more Palestinians off their land

    Why I asked.

    See https://www.nswca.org.au/agmminutes.php

and further down the page is written (somewhat cryptically):

    Finances
Cash reserves are just over $990k (including the Parr bequest). The treasurer will be reporting more fully on the financial statements.

    Appreciation and thanks
Bill Gletsos thanked all council members for their work and effort during the year.

Motion: That the President’s Report be accepted (moved Trent Parker, seconded Fabrizio Corona) Carried.

    4. Treasurer’s report

The financial accounts for 2017/2018 have yet to be balanced and audited so cannot be considered official.
