Legal scholar Turley, no Trump supporter, slams Democrat hypocrisy on Biden/Kavanaugh

Columnist: “I Would Vote For Joe Biden If He Boiled Babies And Ate Them”
    Jonathan Turley, 22 May 2020

We have been discussing the hypocrisy in the response of Democratic politicians, media outlets, and many commentators in their response to the allegations of sexual assault by former Vice President Joe Biden as compared to their position against Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Many Democratic politicians and commentators have struggled with the clearly hypocritical position of declaring Biden innocent while previously insisting that women “must be believed.” The problem is that, if you declare that no one has a right to be simply believed, it requires a full and fair investigation. However, Biden has refused to open up his records to look into any allegations of sexual harassment or sexual abuse by Reade or others. Thus, you can either declare Biden to be innocent without such a review of this papers as has Speaker Nancy Pelosi or you have to call for his records to be reviewed. The alternative is to just accept his guilt as a rapist (thus avoiding the need for an investigation in that and other claims) but say it really doesn’t change anything.

For Pollitt, believing women or standing against sexual assault is now a “luxury.” No doubt the same advocates will once again enjoy that luxury when a Republican is accused.

Yet, during the Kavanaugh hearings, Pollitt lashed out against “some of his defenders [who] seem to be saying that even if the allegations are true, it shouldn’t really matter.” She added “While we are thinking of how much responsibility men should bear for the deeds of their youth, let’s not forget the women who don’t get to put their past behind them—even when they are the victim of rape.”

It appears however that rape allegations “shouldn’t really matter” if the accused is a Democrat and an election is at stake.
“The history of the 20th century is full of examples of countries that set out to redistribute wealth and ended up redistributing poverty.”
“There’s no point blaming the tragedies of socialism on the flaws or corruption of particular leaders. Any system which allows some people to exercise unbridled power over others is an open invitation to abuse, whether that system is called slavery or socialism or something else.”—Thomas Sowell

Has Turley apologised yet for his false claim that Biden 'unmasked' Flynn?

And you didn't answer my question about Reade: Which of her claims should we believe? She has apparently been claiming qualifications that she doesn't have - should we believe her when she says she has them, or the university that says she doesn't?

Tara's lawyers have dropped her. If she perjured in court re her qualifications those convictions may be erased - her sins won't set her free exactly the opposite.

Black incarceration rate is a disgrace—and Biden is largely responsible

Trump Campaign Buries Biden on Race By Pointing to His Record
    Katie Pavlich, 2 Jun 2020

The Trump campaign took notice and went straight to Biden's record as the "architect for mass incarceration" for their rebuttal.

"Biden hasn't just stoked America's racial divisions over the course of his decades in Washington. Biden was the chief architect of mass incarceration and the War on Drugs, which targeted Black Americans. Biden admitted he is directly responsible for the mass incarceration policies of the 1980s and 1990s, authoring the 1994 crime bill which decimated Black communities," an email sent out by the campaign states. "Biden voted to extend minimum penalties for people under 21 charged with selling marijuana, and introduced the civil forfeiture legislation which allows the government to seize assets of citizens accused of drug crimes. Biden helped write the Anti-Drug Abuse Act, which created the 100:1 crack cocaine sentencing disparity and disproportionately targeted minority communities."

Further, the campaign slammed Biden's efforts to rewrite history on the issue.

"While President Trump leads, Joe Biden has tried to politicize this crisis since the beginning. He failed to condemn the violence for days, and just delivered a speech posing as a unifier. Biden's self-imagined reinvention as a racial healer is laughable and requires memory-holing decades of racially inflammatory rhetoric," the email continues. "Biden is a serial race-baiter. In 2018, he claimed Republicans were responsible for "Jim Crow sneaking back in." In 2008 he told a Black audience that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan would "put y'all back in chains." In 2019, he falsely claimed President Trump's repeated condemnation of white supremacists did not exist. Most recently, he said that Black Americans who do not automatically support him 'ain't black.'"

It's no surprise that Biden is smashing Trump in the polls - he's behaving like a real President.

George Bush has probably made the best speeches so far. He has improved with age from a low bar.
