actually they played on the same board, it is how the dgt transmission picks up the boards that dictates where they appear on the screen.

So no, they didnt run from board to board hehe

isn't that a great result for moulthun! he's still only been playing 2.5 years, and if he'd had a seat at the table for the rapid playoff it's very possible he'd have picked up the trifecta.

Is that true? Did he learn the moves 2.5 years ago, or start playing tournaments then? Either way, it's pretty incredible.

Is he the youngest ever champion? I wouldn't be surprised.

Sympathy for Vincent Suttor. He was clearly the best player for 10 rounds and had one bad day. The playoff format wasn't to his advantage either.

Of course. One of the pitfalls of chess publicity I imagine it strikes other sports too. You just cringe (esp me, as I often write the Media Releases in the ACT) when you imagine the chess-playing public reading it and deeming you responsible for the 'spin".

Just thought it was a curious place to find it!
