Was my entry received? I put it in on Thursday evening and paid by direct deposit, which seems to have worked, but I didn't get a system generated (or human) acknowledgement.

I don't think the direct transfer option existed before so possibly has the odd issue. I was getting some strange effects and had to start again; the second time looked fine but I just realised there wasn't an acknowledgement.

    Hi Ian

i've seen notification that it was received - but have passed this on to Ian L. anyhow. I can't play in this year's event - so good luck in advance (not that you should need much). Denis

    Hi Ian, Denis.

entry received along with payment. After the last AGM we've rolled back to a 2 part entry system which is a little more robust and has more payment options, the down side is there isn't an auto generated reply like there was with the online payment registration we've used over the previous 12 months.

All registrations are sent to the TCA account which is then forwarded to the exec, but not to the entrant.

I'll update this page with the current entry list over the weekend.

I don't have access to the system; I only get copied on the emails that it sends through. Ian has access to the system.

However I see what happened now. I was only checking those emails for which I had an Entry Form confirmation email. In your case I have a Payment confirmation email but not an Entry Form confirmation email. I've added you to the list above, thanks.

There don't seem to be any other similar cases.

    Yang Liu 1583
    Ian Little 1579

    Roger Blackburn 1243
    Kerry Beeton 1233
    Floyd Connolly 1196Q
    Addison Djatschenko 1116Q
    Luwanna Beeton 303
    Sean Carpenter UNR
    David Escobar UNR
    Bayani Beeton UNR
    Monty Brown UNR

    Q = quick rating
Note 1: This is not a confirmed seeding order; it is for information purposes only.
Note 2: There is currently a discrepancy between Tasmanian Quick and Normal ratings such that on average an adult player with active ratings on both lists has a Quick rating 180 points higher than their Normal rating. I am intending to apply an adjustment on account of this.
Note 3: Some entries listed above are subject to payment.

Yang Liu, Will Rumley and Chris Shepherd have entered (edited into above post).

I am intending to adjust Quick ratings downwards by 180 points for players who have only Quick ratings; seedings above have been adjusted on this basis.

Extinction Rebellion is coming to Hobart this Monday. The location is just around the corner from the Tassie Open, and the timing at 3pm fits nicely after the closing ceremony

I've received a further entry via an email two hours after the deadline (edited into list above) but I don't know whether the TCA email system is necessarily instantaneous in forwarding emails to me (such relays often aren't). There is also always the possibility of people showing up on the day having failed to complete the entry process online correctly. Acceptance of any late entries will be subject, if not to anything else, to any table space restrictions.

Pairings for round 1 and draw for colours will be done on the day. At this stage Priyanjith Silva has a half-point bye for round 1 (to be confirmed).
