The workshop is political! People are invited to speak based on political beliefs + race!

Only someone with an über-left bias could deny that this is a blatantly political workshop. But leftists think they are unbiased people on the middle of the road, and conservative views are just too evil to deserve consideration.

2nd Generation migrants from China and India tend to be doing very well (excelling with studies and careers) … feeling sorry for the Lefties - they will soon have to come up with new slogan, may be Yellow privilege or Brown priviledge

The simpler explanation is: those who are lazy will never like those who are hardworking and those who are stupid will always have grudge against those who are smarter than them. Then all kind of theories come up to compensate own failure to succeed. Plenty of successful people of all races and nationalities - but those are people who worry about becoming high achievers rather than feeling sorry for themselves.

Really!? Was there an actual ban enforced, or was it only a proposal?

Encouraging women to speak is political? It may be to you, but most Australians would support that.

Hilarious rubbish! The purpose of the actual workshop (not the cartoon version being discussed here) : "Attendees discussed ways to make tutorials and lectures more inclusive by encouraging women, transgender, foreign and gay people to speak up more." Note the reference to "foreign people".

How do you make it more inclusive if you exclude people? And who if not the ''left'' claim that transgender for instance are not included? Do you think for instance that at uni I work we divide students into gay/transgender/white/foreign?
Everyone is included and nobody is having issues.

    Proposal by organizers?
How about just a proposal to let only white speak?
Would not it be racist just to have such a proposal?

Do you have any evidence that it was proposed by the organisers? It was presumably proposed by an attendee at the seminar. The organisers are not responsible for everything said at a workshop - obviously!

That was just one proposal - although there doesn't seem to be much evidence that it was actually made. And the workshop program said "more inclusive".

You obviously have issues with refugees! Have you considered that your constant references to "fakeugees" are not inclusive of refugee students or their children?

I want ALL to be treated and included equally.

I have issues with people coming to Australia other than on merit. I want to build a strong country of hard working people. Think what happened to Sudanese intake that has been discussed already and compare outcomes of this intake with professional migration/international student intake from Nigeria and Kenya.

    Inclusiveness comes from including everyone!

Then you should not refer to people as "fakeugees" without any evidence.

Do you have any evidence that they were discouraged? Obviously not! So it wasn't political.
