She is (currently) only opposing the tax cuts to high income earners. The remaining tax cuts will pass without any trouble - if the Coalition splits the bill.

Would I not dislike her already, I would dislike her for this...but I already disliked her so much for her racism and stupidity...that it is hard to dislike her any more, no matter what else she does

    Hi Elliott

Are you aware you can click on the numbers (of votes) in the poll to reveal who voted for whom?

Hi Howie, of course I am aware, but I am bragging talking about an official announcement. After all it helps the rubbing it in procedure!

Waiting for all the official declarations but it is beyond any known doubt whatsoever that the Government won the election by nine seats based on the terms of the poll.

Sounds worst than tooth decay - '...if we allow policy makers to steadfastly ignore a problem which is now clearly before us on the basis that there are no easy answers to it, then our shared outlook is clear.

    We are in deep trouble.

With all seats now declared or scheduled for declaration except for Mallee (where the only remaining issue is which Government candidate wins) it is now certain that the Government won by nine seats in the terms of the poll and congratulations to the following successful punters:

Was this the official electoral authority call, or the even more offical, Antony Lime ... er Green's call?
I wonder why Anthony abandoned the seat in the first place, after having such broad appeal... his behaviour was like a reverse Barnaby Joyce- who held onto his seat regardless!

The AEC hasn't yet scheduled the declaration but the result became beyond doubt to me, Antony et al once it was known that Labor had remained in second in the preference distribution instead of being overtaken by the Liberals.

Some people think the Liberals could have won it if they had got into second but I think that's extremely unlikely. They would have needed 72% of the preferences that came from Labor, nearly half of which started somewhere other than Labor.

Not really a surprise. ONP has always been somewhat agrarian socialist in leaning.

So must the coalition be, since PHON voted with the government 86% of the time when it mattered.
