Is anyone taking advantage of the second Australian spot for free entry/accomm?
So what's your excuse? For running like the devil's chasing you?
See you in another life, brotha.
This is shaping up to be bigger than Ben Hur - one mighty celebration of a game universally loved by nations big and small, morally lead by giants Australia and New Zealand and uniting in fellowship the denizens of a region exceeding a third of the surface of the earth.
Constituting a zone known as Oceania with representative rights leading to the World Cup, it enjoys a status that some would savagely (like a savage) jeopardize by overzealous self-interest in wishing to confine it only to tournaments in the first two-mentioned nations and still be regarded a zonal heir.
More power to the hosts Guam Echécs and the organizers who have beavered away to make it all happen.
Do you need immunization and vaccination for going to Guam?

Notes: Organiser CM Rogelio Orio advised today that Johnson Li (NZL) has withdrawn and, as has been previously confirmed via other avenues here on ChessChat, IM Temur Kuybokarov (AUS) has withdrawn. He also said he'd write at the end of the week and send me a finalised list of players, as he has been waiting for a few late registrations from Guam players to be completed.

To the best of my knowledge, Irina Berezina withdrew quite a long time ago.

Hi All,
I was expecting to receive confirmation of final entry lists for both the Open and Women's Zonal in Guam over the weekend but no news yet, sorry.

Thanks for the update Tony. Are the players from Solomon Islands not coming or left off the update in error? A bit disappointing if that country no longer represented. Comparing the lists I see also Michael Buciu (AUS) and Benny Pinaula (GUM) no longer listed.
