The ACF GP for 2018 will be open for registrations effective immediately. All classical time control tournaments that commence on or after the 1st of January 2018, and conclude on or before the 31st of December 2018 are eligible to register. Registration fees are payable at the time of registration and are dependant on the GP class. For more information on registration fees see the table below. Tournaments commencing on or before April 1 are exempt from late fees.

Registration for the 2018 ACF Grand Prix will be performed using the updated online registration form. Once the online form has been submitted, the information provided will automatically be recorded in a registration table, and a notification e-mail will be sent directly to the Grand Prix Director.

The online registration form can be found here.

    Registration Fee Payment
Payment of registration fees for the 2018 ACF Grand Prix will be through direct bank transfer. Bank transfers should be accompanied by a suitable description such that payment can be identified and confirmed. A recommended description is "ACFGP [tournament name]".

    Resignation

I have just tendered my resignation as ACF GP Director to the ACF President with immediate effect.

I will act in this position until a new director is found, and then pass on all relevant information and documentation to ensure a smooth transition while the 2018 Grand Prix is running.

All entries into the 2018 GP will operate as normal using the online entry form on the ACF website.

Thanks for all the work you've done in directing the GP, Ian.
Do you find it hard to get better at chess? Unsure which resources to use?

As a Grandmaster, FIDE Trainer, 2018 Australian Champion, 2017 Australian Open Champion and published author, I know how to succeed in chess. I've used my 'Illingworth Method of Chess Learning' to help hundreds of players achieve their chess goals and sustain a large improvement in their skill and results.

Take the struggle out of chess improvement, for just $8 a month.

Thanks for saving the ACF Grand Prix from folding a few years ago Ian and keeping it alive so well. Thanks for also agreeing to continue on in the role till a replacement can be found - this will not be easy either!
