    World Juniors Under 20

    Hi all,

It is pleasing to see Australia has representatives in the World Junior Championship in Tarvisio. Our representatives are Kevin and Rowan Willathgamuwa in the Open Section. New Zealand has a representative in the Girls Section by the name of Nadia Braganza.

Results can be found on chess results. Here is the link http://chess-results.com/tnr305835.aspx?lan=1

Not just norms. The winner automatically receives the GM title. If young Praggi from India wins - 11 and seeking to become the youngest ever GM, beating Karjakin's record - then we can expect him to cancel his participation in the Lidlum young masters, can't we?

In both events - many of the participants are GMs already so chances of the tournaments being won by GMs are rather high!

    Hi all,

I am an arbiter in this event and will be writing a report for the ACF newsletter on Australia's representation in the event.

Regarding Praggnanandhaa's participation in the event for the Aus Young Masters, he will still come and play even if he gets the GM title from winning the event.
