    In the current rating list the highest player likely to miss out is #5 Vachier-Lagrave. So Naka (#10) is clearly not the most unlucky at this stage.

    True. Hopefully Lagrave still qualifies via Grand-Prix. I think he needs to finish first or 2nd in the last stage to do so.

    What's Alexander's chances?
    Also in forming an opinion about wild card inclusion
    one has to consider players' popularity ie sponsorship attraction.
    The ex world champ still has a strong following!
    (particularly amongst Russian sponsors who usually put their money
    where their mouth is)!
