Congratulations to Bobby and Kanan! The third norm is surely a matter of time, hopefully on home soil in Melbourne at the Australasian Masters.

Well, objectively speaking - he was not even close...so not sure if he had a chance as such.

Huge congratulations to both Bobby and Kanan, its great two see players have the opportunity to earn norms in Australia, best of luck to those competing in Melbourne. Well done to all involved in organizing and running the event as well as the players.

I would like to give thanks to chief arbiter Alana for the work she did. Most chess players don't understand the extra demands of the job.She puts in extra time to correct "problems".

All 45 games from the IM norm event are now available to download via chess-results.com. http://www.chess-results.com/tnr315552.aspx?lan=1 .

I am hoping to have the Open games online by Friday at the latest, but it will depend on how busy I am this week.
