    Thumbs up Brisbane Lightning Tournament

I must commend Ian Murray on the recent Lightning tournament in Brisbane. Unlike many tournament directors who richly reward themselves out of the entry fee total, Mr Murray was decent enough to use almost all of the entry fee total for prizes. Good on ya mate. Murray's setting a good example for other TD's who should take notice. But there was one complaint at this tournament from someone who missed round one and wasn't awarded a half point bye. Generally TD's should award a half point bye to players who don't make it to round one because not awarding the half point bye discourages players from coming at all if they're just running late, and this in turn could reduce prizes and consequently the entry fee total.
