    Cool Chess Advice

I'm going to put sayings from "the teachings of Nano Chess" but they relate to all types of chess.

If you have any Chess Advice feel free to add.

Learn one piece really well to know many moves. Learn not how it moves by reading or memorizing. Learn how it's placement excerts it's presence on the pieces around it and absorb this. This will serve you well when in confined spaces.

Agreed. This thread must be "Jammo Heaven" with both Kaitlin and the Baron posting here. Just wait one moment while I get my spell checker and dictionary....

Look .... I've already found one new word "ex-certs: A horse that used to be a dead cert but isn't any more." We learn something new every day.

Chess is 50% chess, the other 50% is about your lifestyle, health, etc.

Could anyone tell me, how it is with the touch of figures? Once you do, you are bound to the intended move, is that correct? Or are there exceptions?

In general if you touch a piece yes you have to move it. If you move it and let it go, then you have to leave it. Exceptions are if the move wasn't legal, Eg if it leaves your king in check.

    Like Avada Kedavra?
Cause, in such case it would be a win for me I am guessing.
Thank you though I wasn't sure, if there were not any little things where you can step back and change your mind. Rules, so many of them
