Thanks once again for all the work, Bill and your ratings team from the states. As always, done in a very timely fashion.

    Thanks Bill.

There's a couple of errors with the titles. Both Yi Liu and Patrick Gong have the FM title appearing on their respective FIDE cards.

I have seen where Trevor Stanning has written in the Box Hill and Canterbury Newsletter that the committee reviewed their rating strategy for their Sunday events and chose to move to TORNELO for 2017. He goes on to mention that CJCC players are pretty much the only active members on the ACF Quick list.

Now what is interesting is the 2017 Box Hill Rookies & Queens January & February tournaments (Quick events) were rated on the recent 2017 March ACF list.
What has not been rated since the 2016 June ACF list are the Canterbury Juniors Coaching Term tournaments (Quick events) and the Sunday Arvo (Classic events).

Now various anomalies were observed in reported results in the Sunday Arvo 2 tournament (results reported did not match with actual player score sheets). When queried about these anomalies the response could be described as wishy-washy at best. A more thorough explanation was requested but none was forthcoming. As such the event was not rated.

Then anomalies were discovered in the Box Hill Winter Swiss. These anomalies occurred in rounds when the Chief Arbiter was overseas attending the 2016 Olympiad and Trevor was the arbiter. The issues with this tournament were able to be resolved and it was FIDE and ACF rated.

In early November, the CV Ratings Officer made the decision (supported by the CV Executive) that he would not accept any tournament for ACF rating where Trevor was the arbiter.
That is the reason why Canterbury Juniors Coaching Term tournaments and Sunday Arvo tournaments have not been ACF rated.

After the above decision that really left Box Hill with only two options.

    1) Not have their Sunday tournaments (Sunday Coaching & Sunday ARVO) ACF rated by keeping him as the arbiter.
    2) Have those tournaments ACF rated by assigning a new arbiter.

They obviously chose the first course of action.
