Who here is doing their HSC this year??

Are you's doing anything special when u's finish?? Schoolies??

I was originally thinking/wanting to go to schoolies, but im not able to due to a number of reasons.

I'll probly just be going down the coast somewhere for a weeks drinking session... etc.
    Should be good.

Also, next friday night... up at my mates place, we are having a nice bonfire... to be rif of all those pesky papers.
    'till be good.

I'll be going to med interviews, then to Soup Plus for my birthday. After that I'll be overseas for 5 weeks, coming back to more med interviews and uni preparation. Since I'm moving to college and all I have to secure finance from the wonderful Centrelink as well as the Army Reserve. What with all this I don't think I'll have time to learn Cantonese.

Heh, me hardcore? My ranking is like lower mediocre... But yeah, 97+ will satisfy me. Hopefully it'll satisfy Mary Stringer too. I would really love a 98 though. It would give me a chance at UNSW second round interview...

I should probably make this known before more offence is taken. Xiao and I attend one of the higher selective schools, and so our hopes, and indeed aspirations, are far above the norm because of the school culture in which we have lived for the past six years. I for one am certain that I will not get the 98 I pray for, I'm probably a mid-80s man. Of course, this doesn't prevent me from hoping I get it anyway. Xiao, however, is a really dedicated student and has earned consistently astronomical marks. If anything he deserves to expect a similar UAI.

Another thing, UAIs follow the principle of diminishing returns. As you approach the high end it becomes exponentially more difficult to ascend further. Basically, 90 ->95 is twice as difficult as 85 -> 90, and 95 -> 100 is four times as difficult. These aren't true calculations, of course, but you get the idea. There is a world of difference between 99.95 and 97, believe me.
