    Games That Take Longer Than You Think

    We have all been in the situation where we think the game is nearly over but our opponent manages to avoid immediate loss.
    A 5mins+5 secs game below that i thought was over at move 20.(went 40 moves) feel free to suggest improvements for both sides

    Smothered mate with 22...Qh2+ 23.Nxh2 Ng3# should be an obvious improvement.

    Note also, the note says "Black resigned" when clearly White did. In the opening, instead of 4... Qxd5, which allows the tempo-gaining 5. Nc3, play 4... Nf6.
