    Thumbs up MCC Youtube Channel

    Hi all,

The first part of GM Ian Rogers lecture on IM Greg Hjorth has been uploaded to our youtube channel. You can bookmark our youtube page HERE, lots of stuff will be going up on it in the next couple of months.

Thanks very much to Ian for his usual entertaining and informative style, it was great to have him at the club.

Around 12 mini-talks from Ian will be going up in the next couple of months, as well as IM Guy West's lecture on Greg's games against GM Tony Miles & others. Parts 2 & 3 of Ian's lecture will go up shortly.

    Enjoy!

    Paul

International Master Guy West's lecture on Greg's 1978 Australian Championship game against Larry Musa (and some nice stories at the start) is now on our youtube channel. Part 2, Greg's win against GM Tony Miles will be up soon.

The video is ''tagged'' as French Defence, Tarrash variation. However, it is actually Tarrash defence.

BTW were you there and were you that European master they were referring to in the audience? Something disparaging about European masters but not yourself of course
Zionism is racism as defined by the UN, Israel by every dirty means available steals land and water, kill Palestinian freedom fighters and civilians, and operates an apartheid system to drive more Palestinians off their land

The first of GM Ian Rogers' short talks on Greg's games is up on the youtube channel. The first game covered is Jamieson - Hjorth from the Doeberl cup in 1979.

I was not in the audience. I guess it was Kannan he was referring to.
Nothing discouraging about it. He was making a joke. Very instructive and funny lecture to listen to. Amazing how black created an attack literally ''out of nothing''. Unfortunately reminds of some of my allegro games against James Morris when I have a solid position as white..then suddenly black pieces start flying all over the board and mate me. I find a lot of resemblance between Hjorth and Morris playing styles.
