    Congratulations to Phil Viner!

    The Asian Chess Federation has confirmed that it has conferred a Meritorious Service Award on Australia's Phil Viner.

    Phil was the Australian Delegate to FIDE for many years until his retirement in 2012 after over 20 years service.

    I completely agree. A photo with him in from an Australan Open opening ceremony happens to be prominent in my Facebook page

    Phil has been invited to attend the 1st Annual Asian Chess Excellence Awards on 25 Jun 2014 at the Danat Hotel Al Ain, UAE

    He will receive his Meritorious Service Award personally.
