I put the Question to Demis Hassabis at his Twitter @demishassabis

Hi Demis it's a bit difficult to get a direct Question & Answer to you So I will try this...what do you think about... AlphaZero (Chess) Copied! The A.R.B Chess System A.R.B

    The A.R.B Chess System...

    Official Site https://www.youtube.com/user/COMPUTERSTOPBUILD/videos

    https://chessprogramming.wikispaces....B+Chess+System

An opening system developed by Anthony.R.Brown more than 35 years ago (1983) (as of 2018) as a response to the growing strength of Chess engines
The apparently passive system gives the programs a FALSE! initial space advantage by allowing them to push center pawns Etc.

(In 1983, the first chess microcomputer beat a master in tournament play. BELLE became the first chess computer to attain a master's rating when, in October, 1983, its USCF rating was 2203)

The A.R.B Chess System is the First & Only Chess System in the History of Chess to play (6)
Pawns first in the Opening before any Main Pieces are played
    Whether playing White or Black...

The Six Pawns for White or Black (Reversed) are Moved forward by one rank only,
Except if there is a Need to Block a Check or Stop a Piece being Captured Etc.

The Move Order is One of the Most important things concerning how the First Six Pawns are Played!

Below Playing for White is how the System plays the first Six Pawn Moves in Move Order Preference...

    1. e3 (Most Moves!) 2. d3 (Most Moves!) 3. h3 (Most Moves!) 4. a3 (Most Moves!)
    5. g3 (Most Moves!) 6. (Most Moves!) b3

And Below Playing for Black is how the System plays the first Six Pawn Moves in Move Order Preference...

    1. (Most Moves!) e6 2. (Most Moves!) d6 3. (Most Moves!) h6 4. (Most Moves!) a6
    5. (Most Moves!) g6 6. (Most Moves!) b6

Other strategies are characterized by closing the center, no or delayed castling , and provoking other early pawn advances by the programs,
    yielding in long term weaknesses.

    AlphaZero (Chess) 1st, 2nd & 3rd Copied! references.

Below is a Very interesting game!,where The A.R.B Chess System is played (1st 6 Pawns Only) for both sides White & Black.
Using Stockfish 8 played at "180 Seconds Each Per Move" with Ponder & TB's off!
The interest is how Stockfish plays the Pawn structure for both sides as the game progresses, even though Stockfish is not able to play (T.A.R.B.C.S),
Once the (1st 6 Pawns) for both sides have been played.

What is very intersting is that Stockfish Castles on opposite sides in a symmetrical Pawn formation, with both sides having 1(4) & 1(3) Pawn islands.
(T.A.R.B.C.S) Pawn formation shows how hard it is for Stockfish to find a Win for either side!

Move (10) Black plays … g5 with a Score of -0.90 For Black

    The Position above is the Start of {"Stockfish 8 Plays ? The A.R.B Chess System"}

All Whites moves from Move (1) to Move (10) are played by Stockfish 8

All Whites & Blacks moves from Move (11) to Move (138) are played by Stockfish 8

Even though Stockfish 8 is Not! able to play (T.A.R.B.C.S) Correct It’s interesting to see how it Calculates the difficulty of the Closed position, as it’s unable to find a way to Break through and find a Win for Black, where as (T.A.R.B.C.S) understands the position is about opening up certain lines leading to a (Long Term Strategic) Mating of Whites King!
