    RIP Mark Sadler 27-10-2013

Mark Sadler passed away October 27th. A current Canterbury Chess Club committee member of over 20 years standing, he was not the most active player in his later years, but could still be relied on to come to AGM, any committee meetings and rapid events and the Christmas social.

I'm sure Canty CC members and former members will remember his bike and overcoat - he still rode everywhere right up to the end.

That's sad news Craig. I played Mark many times. I also recall that he wrote a book called The Ascent of Man - an evolutionist so we disagreed on content but had many pleasant chats.
RIP Mark. Best wishes to his surviving family members.
