Tornelo Pairing Problems (sf Tornelo Rating System)

One area where all of the Online Platforms (Chess.com Tornelo, LiChess etc.) Appear to be lacking is User Support Documentation...or easy access to such documentation. Help forums are great but there ya re not quite the same. For instance, when comparing with the E-Learning Support Protocols that I am involved in development of the difference between the Online Platforms and the institutionalized E-Learning processes are quite obvious. But then again, there may be some process management manuals that I am not aware of that are provided to arbiters, organizers etc. that are not available to the general public. Furthermore, I do not think QA processes for Chess Servers are same as for Professional Service Organizations/Universities.

But you are right about the QA processes being VERY different... it probably has something to do with budgets and number of staff.

That's true, but it's a major step towards approval. And FIDE has already used Tornelo to run one of its events - the Online Olympiad for People with Disabilities.

The pairings of the Online Olympiad for People with Disabilities have been posted on Chess results, which means that the pairings were made with Swiss Manager.

The Olympiad DIS was a teams event, and Tornelo doesn't have an internal olympiad-style pairing feature (only Team Battles). So yes, pairings were created in SM and imported to Tornelo for online games.

But, many events are doing pairings in Tornelo then exporting TRF files into SM so they can post on chess-results. Tornelo can import/export TRF, CSV, PGN files to make it easy for data to get wherever it needs to.

We had very strange pairings for rd 7.
Baron-Savige and Khamagaleev- Ilic appears to be an obvious pairing...instead I played Nick Ilic and Kolak who was on 4.5 played Alexei.! Savige got floated down. Not sure why.

Agreed, the pairings are not right.
