    Melbourne Cup Day W'ender?

Are there any tournaments on next weekend in Melbourne? I remember there used to be a tournament at MCC at this time of year couple of years ago - does that still exist?

Ok then. Does anybody know who's going to play? Like number of people, whether there are any decent players, etc?

Help us help you Phil O'Dor.

Look up last years players on their web-site and post here which of those players you regard as decent. When we get your drift we will suggest where you can meet more decent players.

ps We used to rely on the Chess VICTORIA weekly NEWSLETTER but that has gone into limbo too. Hard to find out what is going on these days.
