Round 1 of this event is tonight.
Could anyone wishing to play in the tournament who needs a bye in round 1 please contact Grant Szuveges (details in first post), or ring the club if after 6pm (9416 3149).
So far I have Justin Penrose down for a round 1 bye.
Any others who advise me before the start of round 1 that they need a bye will receive a half-point bye for round 1, otherwise they will be considered a new player for round 2 & start on 0/1.

Argh. Some teething issues with the DGT so it won't be on tonight.

a very strong tournament has started though.

30 starters for the tournament tonight (2 taking half-point byes), with top seeds West, Stojic, Rujevic, Dale & Gorka.
I'll have updates of each round on my blog.

Players can still enter the tournament up to the end of round 3.
I hope to post the draw online on Wednesday evening, hopefully both here & on the MCC website.
