Finally ... a draw! Albeit a 13 move draw, apparently inspired by the Anand-Gelfand world championship match!?

I realise that I am subsidised (twice!) to play in Vic champ (firstly, it's mostly paid by Reserve Championship with the rest of the bill footed by ChessVic, secondly I get a free entry), so the criticism is well warranted. Generally I am trying to avoid short draws and play to the maximum of my capacity.

Unfortunately, there are days when the capacity is very low. Being an amateur (i.e. non-professional) makes it harder to avoid such days.
When the feeling between two players of similar strength is mutual it results in a short draw.

Note that the cross table on the Chess Vic site seems to have a couple of minor issues at the moment.

Firstly it hasn't been updated with round 6 yet (see results above) and I also note that the Hacce-Stevens games has only been half entered into the cross table (although it doesn't affect the standings since it is just the 0 which is missing).

Updated crosstable, with all games played up to last night (there are 2 games to be played at a later date):

    Code:

    11. West, Guy 3 0 1 1 1 0 *
    12. Dragicevic, Domagoj 3.5 0 0 ½ 1 1 1 *
I'm not sure about the best formatting for posting a crosstable here, but if one of the mods wants to have a try to make it look better, feel free to tweak things!

I also have standings on my blog
    Current leaderboard:
    Morris 6/6
    Goldenberg 5/6
    Sandler 4.5/6
    Cheng, Dragicevic 3.5/6
    West, Zelesco 3/5
    Levi 2/6
    Stojic 1.5/5
    Stevens 1/5
    Garner 1/6
    Hacche 0/6

A crosstable simply taken from Swiss Perfect via Copy Screen View (or whatever it is called) with Code tags displays fine.

Another trick if copying from other documents is that sometimes changing them to Courier New font puts them into columns properly. Without knowing what yours even came from I've got no idea how to fix it.

    Postponements

I feel the need to apologise for my postponement against Tristan and the postponement I am currently seeking for my next scheduled game (against Bobby.)

Late last week I became quite ill and the treatment hasn't been as effective as hoped, so my doctor is still working on it. It's one of those problematic things where antibiotics are not always effective and in this case themselves have side effects that are not compatible with playing chess.

My game with Tristan is scheduled to be played on June 18th, as Tristan has quite a few commitments before then. If I am granted a postponement against Bobby I will put the date of the rescheduled game up as well.

I'm sorry for the discombobulation this causes, but it's greatly preferable to a withdrawal in a Round Robin event. I'd also like to categorically state that I was in perfect health during all five games played so far!

I'd tried copying & pasting from HTML exported view ... seems like the method suggested by Kevin works fine!
