    Ex-Aussie Wins Nobel Prize

    I don't suppose any of youse blokes have read today's news that an ex-Aussie, born in Tassie, Prof. Elizabeth H. Blackburn is a co-winner of the 2009 Nobel Prize for Medicine?

    It was touted as pretty much a done deal in a piece on tasmanian times here a week ago.

    There was a large article on page two of the Mercury; of course, had she been an Olympic gold medallist instead of a mere Nobel Prize winner it could well have been several pages.
