To give the thread time to get rolling, I'll decide the initial winner (if there are enough entries) at the end of September. In that time, any game posted within a month of being played is eligible.

Thanks for the commentary Jono, much appreciated. I certainly like the idea of the a4, Ba3, c5 and then Nc4 plan.
Am I right in assuming that you prefer 19.gxf3 to the text? After the analysis you give (19.gxf3 Bh3 20.Nc7 Rc8 21. Ne6) I would think Black would most likely play 21... Bxe6 which would have been a reasonably comfortable position for White. Another move which I gave some thought to was 20... Bxf1 (instead of Rc8).

You're welcome RW; Black would be tied down to his d-pawn so would find it hard to attack. Here is one nice win by Ftacnik, an expert in this line. Looks like it's more accurate to make Black a P offer he should refuse with 11.c5.Originally Posted by Rincewind

In that case as well, White will recover the exchange, because the Nc7 is threatening to fork on e6 as well as the Ra8. In such centrally blocked KID pawn structures, Black finds it very difficult to attack the K-side if his light-squared B is exchanged.Originally Posted by Rincewind

All analysis is welcome. I think Ricewinds game is pretty good.
c'mon people. i'm sure you all want to get into the 'legendary hall of fame'. Start posting games. When more people start to post games then it will be really hard so why not get started now.

We currently have two entries so another entry is needed by Wednesday for there to be something to judge for this month.

Oh and BTW I am supervisor and hall of fame manager. Bonus if you get on the hall of fame 3 times there is a reward. It may be really lousy but you will never know what it is until you post.
Currently my favourite game. 15 min game played on FICS. I'm white. The lesson in this game is, when the opponent has a bad piece, trade everything else off and they will struggle in the endgame.

In hindsight, an early f5, (e.g. 14...f5) would have been good for black, with his kingside play faster than my own play on the queenside.
Hi everyone,
I thought that this was a pretty impressive game and seeing it was a game played by a poster here, am choosing to submit it
