We are talking Canterbury leafy near Eastern suburb 5 or 6 KM east of Melbourne here. But if you are from Sydney a half point bye will be available

    things are coming together

    Entries are coming in already.

Work is proceeding and players can be assured that we will avoid a conflict with the tournament at the Melbourne Chess Club over Cup weekend. Details of how we avoid the conflict will be posted next week.

We want our tournament to succeed and we want the Melbourne Chess Club tournament to succeed big time.

pssst shan, make sure your half point is plus and not minus! that's one of our hidden tactics vs Sydnesiders who show up in Victoria to play Chess!
j/k of course you are welcome anytime!

    Last round clash

The tournament organizer has informed me that players in the Canterbury Open who also wish to play in the Melbourne Chess Club Cup Weekend Tournament, will be able to re-arrange their last round game between Sunday October 25 and Friday November 6 with their opponents agreement and the tournament organizerís approval
