The Larsen interview...at the time he felt he will be a world champion one day...good to dream but dreams sometimes do not come true.

To be honest, he was very old before he found out that he would never be worldchampion...

I heard him one time tell: "Give me six months and I will beat Kasparov". He wrote it several times in his danish chesscolumns too.

    From the danish (chess)tournamentbook: ”Vesterhavsturneringen 1988” (1988).

Bent Larsen: ”Kasparov spiller godt, men får jeg en match mod ham og tre måneder til at forberede mig i, ja så er det ikke sikkert, han stadig er verdensmester.”

MY translation will be: "Kasparov plays very well, but if I get a match against him and three months to prepare... yeah, then it's not at all sure that he is still the World Champion."

Anyway, of course Michael Baron is right. Forgive me that I'm just dazzled by my Larsen-patriotic dreams...

Being dillusional is not so uncommon for chess players

Actually it was kind of staged. He just got into the water for a few seconds...and played a couple of moves. But still, very brave of him

This link could probably be of some kind of interest for chessplayers who liked Spasskij, Fischer and/or Karpov.

    At least I liked it...

By listening to Korchnoi, you can tell what a strong, unstoppable kind of person he is!
