    I think the CC rules are, if you post a move here, it counts as "committed". Here's a tip. Take game moves (including your move), paste it into a post here, surround it with {PGN} tags (use [] instead of {}) and press "Preview Post". Don't press "Submit Reply" unless you want to commit your move.

    You can analyze anywhere you want, it's not against any rules.

    Yes you can do that. See the thread at http://chesschat.org/showthread.php?t=4462 if you want an idea of what people here consider acceptable in CC games.

    Basically you can do anything except for use a computer engine or ask another person for advice. (In "freestyle" tournaments you can do those things as well.)
