the problem seems to be the width of the display window, and I am beginning to wonder if this is because I don't understand the significance of the numbers at the end of the string,

Would be delighted to be let know what I am doing wrong,

It keeps asking about castling, but I have now figured that to display it the castling function must be dealt with somehow, the initial problem involved wrapping it in code tags,
