Congratulations Bill,Thanks Leonid.

An excellent financial result compering with last year! How did you manage such a turn around? We stopped running events that ran at a loss and concentrated on the events that were susccessful. We also required all players in NSW to be either members or Non-Member Registered players for organisers to get their events rated. This added not only to our membership fee total but also added a new source of revenue in the registered player fee.

This is a very good idea. Something similar was adopted by the ACTCA about 15 years ago, except for juniors in junior-only events. Enforcement was by way of charging affiliated clubs a fee in respect of games played by players in their events who were not ACTCA members. This avoided the contentious issue of not rating certain games. This was instituted before the ACF Admin fee existed. I'm not sure how strictly it is being enforced these days (since 2005) as I note that the upcoming ACTCA Rapid is open to non-members.
