Yulgilbar-Think Big Australian Chess Grand Prix 2009

The 2009 Australian Chess Grand Prix will be jointly sponsored by two famous horse studs.

Yulgilbar is one of Australia's oldest Quarter Horse Studs and is situated at Elgee Park in Victoria.

Think Big Stud, situated in the NSW Southern Highlands, is named after the winner of back-to-back Melbourne Cups in 1974 and 1975.

The total prize fund for the 2009 Australian Chess Grand Prix will be $16,000, including cash prizes and four economy class airfares to Malaysia.

Stud owners Sarah Myer and Dato' Tan Chin Nam wish all competitors the best of luck for 2009!

I'm old enough to remember this. November, 1975 was quite a memorable month.

I hope the Yulgilbar-Think Big Australian Chess Grand Prix 2009 is just as memorable!

hi Brian,

The only two winners I have ever backed in Melbourne Cup was the consecutive wins by Think Big.

But on another point we may have had differences over the past but I believe you are doing an excellent job with the Grand Prix and more credit to you:clap:

Kindest Regards

Hi Brian.

Just had a look at the early standings in the GP

Thought i'd let you know that Jowenn Lua is in fact unrated. He is listed as 7g on the ratings list. I think this is where you get your 7 as a rating from?
