The mechanism for renaming a thread is not immediately apparent to the casual editor.

STEP 1 - click the EDIT button on right hand side of screen. When the editing window is displayed (which allows you to edit post content only);

STEP 2 - click the EDIT button immediately below the text input box, and a new editing window will open which allows one to:
-- delete the post
-- edit the post (including, now, the title of the post)

In the case of clicking EDIT, then EDIT again, editing the post's TITLE will rename the thread.

All of the above is subject to the administrator-imposed 'statute of limitations' (time limit) for post editing.
